CMT Group is seeking a highly motivated and driven 3rd year Apprentice Carpenter.
Join our team as an experienced apprentice and you’ll be able to knock out the rest of your apprenticeship by getting to work on the stuff that most building companies don’t ever tackle.
We do a lot of concrete/steel foundations, roofing work, and timber framed floors – all of which you need to do for BCITO and other apprenticeship providers to get qualified.
Why else should you work with us?
Hourly wage: $24-$29 (skilled 3rd year apprentices will be toward the higher end of this band)
Work hours: 7am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Saturday work is available (with time and a half) if you’d like it, but it’s not required.

-Central location (our yard is in Papanui and we take work vehicles to site if they are out of town – we don’t expect you to drive your own vehicle all over town)
-Builders yard full of all the gear you can possibly imagine that you are welcome to use
-A small, supportive team for learning and becoming a better carpenter
-Working with carpenters who have 20+ years of experience in all areas of construction
-Teach you how to read site setout plans, architectural drawings, and custom building plans
– All with the aim to help you complete your BCITO apprenticeship.
-You will also be a strong advocate for health and safety.
