Firestop Centre has built what the company describes as a strong reputation as a specialist distributor of passive fire protection solutions.
Leveraging this foundation, Firestop Centre set its sights even higher and aimed to evolve beyond distribution to play a more strategic role in the passive fire protection industry.
“We launched our own line of fire-rated products and systems under the Firestop brand,” says Barry Napier, technical product manager at Firestop Centre.
This product range includes solutions for linear joints, fire-rated access systems for walls and floors, ductwork fire protection, duct access systems, and a suite of accessories tailored for these applications.
“Our goal was simple, to share our expertise and make specification and installation easier for our clients. As a result, we’ve significantly expanded our database of fire-rated systems, positioning Firestop Centre at the forefront of the industry,” says Napier.
He says that this transformation began by listening carefully to contractors, installers, and specifiers and every on-site challenge was analysed and fed into its research and development process.
“The result was practical tested systems, all developed with real-world conditions in mind and meeting local compliance. This ensured these systems were not only effective but also met regulatory standards, simplifying processes for both professionals and authorities.
“With years of industry experience behind us, we know how vital verified compliance is. It provides confidence that the systems specified and installed are tested, documented, and aligned with fire-resistance standards.”
A key innovation of the Firestop FR product line is Firestop Ultra Sealant – an intumescent sealant tested for both fire resistance and UV exposure. Its advanced formula supports both internal and external use, and comes fully documented and certified, ready for on-site application.
“We also provide technical advice and specification assistance for projects of any size. From early design through to construction, we offer project-specific pricing and ongoing support to help ensure your fire protection strategy is compliant, practical, and efficient.”
