Husqvarna expands battery range

Recently launched in New Zealand by local distributor Youngman Richardson, the new compact K540i power cutter is the latest in battery-powered innovation from Husqvarna.

And what makes this even better, the company says, is that the K540i is the “perfect complement” to the existing BLi battery offering. This is a platform that already supports a wide variety of applications in use in products across landscaping and construction.

With a 267mm diameter blade, an adjustable blade guard and up to 100 mm in cutting depth the Husqvarna K540i is a battery powered machine like no other. Designed to handle a wide range of applications it has many enabling features such as performance, value and operational safety. Additionally, to optimise performance, the K540i power cutter is supplied with specially designed Husqvarna diamond blades.

“With the K540i, users get a very capable power cutter that’s easy and efficient to use thanks to its good power-to-weight ratio and low noise,” says Youngman Richardson sales director Phil Fairfield.

“No petrol is needed so the cost of ownership is low. The Husqvarna K540i also features X-Halt, an electronic brake system that is engaged if a kickback occurs. The added bonus is that there are no emissions so it can be used effectively in confined or indoor areas,” says Fairfield.

He says the battery-powered equipment has the potential to transform working conditions for hardscapers in urban environments.

“Regardless of location, the job

can be done with efficiency and ease. This is particularly so when working in residential or enclosed areas where the absence of exhaust fumes and reduced noise levels can make a difference to the operator and anyone else in the vicinity.

“We see the demand for electrified equipment growing in many segments of our market. Youngman Richardson is committed to an electrified future and to give support to our customers accordingly.”
